Hi, I'm looking for an interview of John and Michael, the one which took place after Life of Brian went on cinemas and all that controversy about being a mockery about Jesus and blah blah blah began. There was a bishop at the interview, and apparently Michael got very shirty and John was just brilliant. The show was "friday night saturday morning" and was presented by Malcolm Muggeridge.
Anyone knows where can I find it?.

Thank you very much. I had already seen that and I think it's a great documentary. It looks like they will be airing it all on the 2nd of January on channel 4, if any of our friends here could tape it and upload it it would be awesome. :D
I never really understood all that controversy about a movie which is so brilliant and which makes you think about certain important things on life. Never saw a glimpse of that "making fun of Christ" theories that some people came along with.
that's one of the reasons I wanted to watch that interview, would love to se John and Michael defending the movie with their usual intelligence.

God, I think the whole interview used to be on youtube some time ago, but they removed it before I could see it :(

I think it was something to do with the comedy society who owned the copyright, they banned the vid from being up on the internet.

Yes! I strongly agree! They did it for a few other videos too like when Monty Python was on AM America. I loved that video but they got rid of it. Just mentioning makes me sad :( I need a moment alone.

is it this?:

The secret Life of Brian

Fundamentalist Christians versus Monty Python. When John Cleese and the boys released their classic slant on biblical times, "The Life of ... all » Brian", without even seeing the film God botherer's and all round British puritans, under the control of Mary Whitehouse, took it upon themselves to have it banned as blasphemous - with hilarious consequences.

46 min 30 sec

google video

unfortunately i got a this video is currently not available. please try again later :(
i already had this message on another video and it never came back

edit: it ran on channel4 on 7th jan 2007

Yours truly (well, the voluminous collection)
did assist in the making of The Secret Life of Brian
with information, publicity material, movie posters, and so on.

Make sure you check out the parody of that very interview by "Not the nine o'clock news" (with Rowan Atkinson)...
This time, a bissop is accused of making a film about Jesus, that is secretly a disrespectful parody of monty python.
