Both Connie Booth and Carol Cleveland (despite her denial) have in fact appeared topless: Connie in a short film entitled "Romance With a Double Bass," and Carol in a mid-seventies sex comedy called "All I Want Is You...and You...and You."

"All I Want..." was ensnared in legal difficulties and seems to be lost, but a still photograph of Carol's topless appearance survives. "Romance" is (or was) available on video, and is probably on DVD as well.

Carol Cleveland may well have appeared topless or fully nude or in a hard-core porno film for all I know, my point was that she had stated that she never appeared nude ON THE SHOW. ( I was responding to 'pythonline's message, not 'mrs. radbag's.)

Also, my assertion that any nude photos of these two actresses on the internet are probably fake is an opinion, not a statement of fact. How would I know?

Thirdly, my proposal to 'GOD' to send me the pics so I could post them was not meant as a harsh challenge, although it sounds that way, but simply an invitation. I had no idea where he may have found his pics, and some people do not like to visit questionable web sites. I, for one, would not mind at all seeing topless or nude photos of either of these two, if they exist, and I can easily post them on a safe page where people can view them without being directed to porn sites, etc.

Sorry if it sounded like a rebuke, GOD, it was unintended.

<br />I'll make it even simpler. E-mail them to me at teddysalad@comcast.net and I'll post them on an FTP webpage where everyone can see them.

Just done - the one pic of Carol from "All I Want..." and three of Connie from "Romance With a Double Bass."

Thank you, A.N.Onymous!

As per our e-mail exchange, I will post the pics as soon as my computer troubles are over. ( May take a few days)

Let me just say that as a relative newcomer here, I do not wish to cause offense. If the moderator, or manager, or regulars here deem this subject matter inappropriate for the forum, I will drop the subject immediately.

Damn! Judging from the pic, I'd like to get my hands on that 'All I Want is You and You and You' film. A.N. could you elaborate on the 'legal difficulties' associated with this movie? I would imagine they are of the 'rights' or 'ownership' variety and not because of the content?

Also, if anyone else has anything to contribute in this vein, feel free to send them to me and I'll stick them up on the page. Even if you're not sure of the validity, send them anyway and we'll sort them out! ( Even fakes can be amusing )

A few years ago, I wrote to Bob Kellett, director of "All I Want...", asking if he knew anything about the film's whereabouts. I still have his response somewhere: I'll dig it out and quote the relevant bits. In the meantime, I have a friend in British showbiz who's trying to locate Tony Tenser, who was head of Tigon British, the film's distributor.

As for Carol's opinion of the film, she once said to me F2F, "It was a load of rubbish!" going on to elaborate that it was intended to be a sexy comedy that "wound up being neither sexy nor funny" and that the actors made jokes about how bad it was, while filming was still taking place!

I've already said it privately, A.N. but again, I bow low. LOL

You are indeed the authority on this subject!

Here's the text of the letter I received from Bob Kellett, director of "All I Want..." in response to my letter to him a few years ago.

"Thank you for your letter about <i>All I Want Is You...and You...and You...</i> -- I only wish I could help you but I don't have a print or a video copy and I don't know of any in existence. I have a vague recollection of an unconfirmed rumour around at the time that there was some kind of legal dispute and the negative had been impounded: this may or may not have substance, but it would perhaps explain why the film has apparently disappeared and never been shown, -- theatrically, on TV, or even on video.

"As I recall, the film was processed at the old Denlabs, now DELUXE, North Orbital Rd, Denham, Uxbridge, Mdsx UB9 5HQ. You might like to try Bill Griffiths in <i>Vaults and Records</i> (+44) 1895 832 332 or /835 432. He has been there a long time and might remember it - or even have an idea what happened to it.

"I believe the original title was <i>Praise the Lord and Lose Your Inhibitions</i> -- or perhaps it was <i>shelve</i> them rather than <i>lose</i> them. Either way, it was certainly a far-out script for its time.

"I wish you the best of luck and please give my warm regards to Carol when you next speak to her."

"With best wishes,
[signed]
Bob Kellett"

I followed up with Mr. Griffiths: he'd since left DELUXE and was heading up (rather ominously, I thought) a film-recycling lab. He had no recollection of what had happened to the film, but he gave me some more leads, all of which fizzled. DELUXE said there was no such film in their vaults, under any of its three possible titles. I also checked with the National Film and Television Archive at the British Film Institute, which has lots of Carol's other film and TV appearances - but not that one.

This all took place in mid-2000. Maybe I'll try to contact Mr. Kellett again (hoping he hasn't since gone on to the big studio in the sky) and ask if he's heard of any progress being made.

One last note for now: "All I Want..." was reviewed in at least one source, the "Monthly Film Bulletin." I made a copy of the review: I'll have to try and find it.
