As I'm new, please forgive me if this subject has already appeared recently.....but I have a question:

Why has Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life been nominated as one of the 50 Greatest One Hit Wonders? I didn't think the Pythons were a music band. Yes, they wrote and recorded songs, but I wouldn't have said they were one-hit wonders.

However, seeing as they're nominated for something (along with the Bonzos), I may end up voting for them.
What has anyone else done?

i wasn't aware to that poll, as i live in a different country.

however, it's still quite interesting to see that on it. however, slightly understandable. i believe it was somewhat of a musical hit, even making it to radio. but it was their only one. thus making it a one-hit wonder.

I guess. It just seemed strange to me to have Python on a list where the rest of the nominations are all music bands or solo artists.

Just like Terry G's animation, I think the music in MP makes them all the more unique and I couldn't imagine them any other way. It's an integral part of who they are / where.

Although I'm sure just as many people know The Lumberjack Song as well, but not sure how well that did as a single... I'm sure some anorak collector can furnish you with that type of detail if you wait around for long enough.
