Got this e-mailed me:

Monty Python Day
Doune Castle

Sunday 3 September
4.30 pm – 9.00 pm

Following an amazing sell-out last year, Doune Castle – a key location for the filming of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, again plays host to an informal special event limited to 500 tickets.

We’re keeping some of our schedule this year under wraps at the moment, but wouldn’t dare lose the popular best impersonation / performance (Python Idle) and costume competitions.

So, get your coconuts at the ready for a Pythonfest!

TICKETS - Advanced booking recommended
Tickets: Adults £15, Concessions/Children £10 available from

Discount available for Friends of Historic Scotland.

Tickets available from April 2006
Tel Hub Tickets on 0131 473 2000 or visit http://www.hubtickets.co.uk.

Got my ticket already.

So..are you all from the States? I noticed ye mentioned plane tickets and the formidable cost on the..eh..other (less shiny) thread revolving round Monty Python day.

I can't believe there is a Monty Python day..it sounds brilliant. I might go -tis only a short journey across the Irish sea for me..sure i could probably just do a Ron Obvious and attempt to jump it..
