I own the entire box set of flying circus, thats every episode. I dont remember a "happy valley" episode, is it possibly not a python show? something like "Fawlty Towers" or "At last, the 1948 show"

this was definately the monty python team.
it was on tv as a special.
the main characters were king otto (he played ya de buckity on his hammond organ).
his daughter the fabulous princess mitzi gaynor and her suitor prince walter who smelled a bit and had plywood teeth.
his task to win the hand of the princess was to go down the shop and buy 10 rothmans.

no, definately not.

Ok, here's the research, it was in one of the two German Episodes, I have them both on DVD, haven't watched either of them. Check "Monty Python's Fledgender Zircus"

You can get both episodes on DVD, one is on the "Life of Python" box set the other is in a "Monty Python Live" box set, I don't think thats the name though.

This scetch was originally performed on one of the audio albums released under contract to the BBC in the 70's and 80's. I forget which album it was and sadly my evil brother has stolen them from me and I can't check. I think it might have been, "Matching Tie and Handkerchief". It's also in one of the books. Monty Pythons Big red Book I think, which is of course blue.

Like the petulant Michael Palin..."If you want to talk about pathetic,or stupid...you realize those were over 30 years in the past?? Next we will be talking about Jackie Gleason and Lucille! Be original!"

Not like a Flip Wilson stuffing egg rolls down his throat during performances,or a Richard Pryor who nearly OD'd and blew up!Then he got all religious! It was pathetic if you ask me!
