OK, I'm puzzled about "Wacky Queen" and "Amazing Kargol" from the first (produced) episode of Python. In 1974-5 when the series first came on in the US, most of the episodes still had the bits that(I think) had already been cut from the British versions. But 'Queen' and 'Kargol' were already gone from US episode 1.A new batch of PAL to NTSC conversions appeared in 1980, which lost the consistant herringbone-broken motion effect of the older tapes, but also lost many scenes that BBC had decided to cut.And Queen and Kargol weren't in the '80 conversion either. Then, around 2000, the US finally saw the cut Ep.1 scenes! Why did it take so long for these bits to make it back into the US version?
