Several years ago, I came across the Flying Circus on television. I don't know which season it was, but some of the episodes had sketches which made me laugh out loud.

One sketch was a reading session. Someone was reading a book. Suddenly he faced troubled pronouncing a word, so another fellow had to step in and help him. After a while, this fellow also got troubles, so ANOTHER
man came in to help. This went on and on. Hysterical.

I also have vague memories of a sketch with a police man. It was outdoor, and there was something special about the police man, if I remember correctly. Could it be that he had tendencies which made him lose respect? That's all I remember about this particular sketch.

In which season (...and episode?) did these sketches appear?

EDIT: In addition - is there a way to describe each season (or sub-divisions within a season) regarding the 'style'? Did a specific season or group of episode contain a certain type of sketches more than another season?

A Book At Bedtime. Season Three. Thats the one with the unexploded scotsmen, no time to lose, and spot the looney. Does that ring any bells?

No. It's several years since I watched the episode, and the mentioned sketch is the only I remember from it. But you're very likely correct that it's season three anyway, I at least can't see no reason why you should be wrong.

I'm gonna explore PYTHON NET however, thanks to both of you for answering.
