hmm.

Well, I had problems with getting Holy Grail on Windows XP, I have yet to fix that problem, but Waste of Time installed just fine, I haven't tried installing MOL as of recent.

That should get you through MOL

that should get you through CWOT

if you have any more problems, let me know, and be more specific, I might be able to help if I know whats happening.

hey... new guy here...after 2 hours of googling, I finally found a forum that has new messages...
Would someone PLEASE help me??
I just got Holy Grail, but I have Windows XP...
When I tried to install it, a window with some gibberish popped up.then I remembered something I've read about the games not running on XP, and I did the Properties->Windows 98 trick on the installation file and it worked. the game was installed, but the game doesn't run...
I get the same gibberish windows, and the the message that it can't find the c:\sourcedir\grail.exe file...

Is there any way???? I'm pretty desperate...
Can you tell me if the problem is only in Windows XP? Does it run om Millenium or Windows 2000?

I wish I knew. I don't know the Windows 98 thing. if you could explain how to do that, I'll do some playing around after I get it installed.

I think I got a little further than some of you with GRAIL.

1) Right-Click the Setup.exe file in the GRAIL directory on CD, select Properties, choose Windows98 compatibility on compatibility page. Now run it the Setup file, and it installs most of the game.

2) Do the same for the the Grail.exe file that has been installed of harddisk.

3) Take a holiday in Sweden. See the lövely lakes and the majestic mööse...

4) I wish to apologize for step 3. Step 3 is totally unnecessary, and those responsible for it have been sacked. Instead, jump directly from step 2 to step 5.

5) Copy all files from the cd Grail directory to harddisk Grail directory.

This gets the game up and running for me. Sadly, when I procede to the "Register" part of the game, fonts and especially colours mess up so badly that I can't get on with it. But that could have to do with my graphics card or monitor which often act pretty oddly, so you may well have more luck.

[EDIT:]
w00t, solved my own problem, too!

6) Go back to Properties -> compatibility of Grail.exe file on harddisk. Choose to run game in 256 colours, and Viola!

Viola is my sister. A mööse once bit her, you know...
