Why would you need a beanie in Australia, we're a desert, unless you live in the Snowy Mountains or Tassie or Vic, never really thought it got that cold elsewhere.

How about a baseball hat? Not like a baseball helmet that the players wear, but the hats that you see everybody wear.

That's too conformist. Bucket hats are good, though my hair now weighs a metric ton, so no luck with them anymore...

Maybe you should get a hair cut so it won't weigh like a metric ton, but the same weightness as a feather. Then a bucket hat would look really good, don't you think so?

Actually I never wear hats. I think they are highly over-rated. Plus my head is too fat. I wear a bigger motorcycle helmet than my husband. I tell him its because my hair is too poofy - but who I am kidding? I have a giant head 'cause of my well developed frontal lobe ([;)]- that's my story and I'm sticking to it...

And another think about hats! - has anyone out there heard of the "Red Hat Society?" This organization has reached cult status - to the point that my MOTHER - who never joins anything, is now a member. She is going Whale watching on an Alaskan Cruise with near total strangers that wear Red Hats and Purple Jackets for no apparent reason...very weird. You have to be over 50 to join otherwise you have to wear a pink hat and mauve jacket (until you are old enough to advance to the red and purple). Just about the time I thought I had heard everything....I just got a shiver...UGGH!

I've heard of this Red Hat Society. We've got them in the Sarnia area too. The only thing that I know they do is they sit around and drink tea. And they're always in these red hats and purple jackets and they have those red feathery boa thingies on too. They're very strange. I hope I never become one when I get old. I wouldn't know what I'd do with myself honestly. I think I'd get bored pretty quickly. How about you?
