Please help me settle an argument at home! In the Pythons documentary, on the LoB DVD, is the person sitting on Graham's knee David Sherlock, his partner (obviously a man), or is it a woman, which my sister argues, as he looks feminine, and wears a, er, bikini bottom. Or are we both right and is he a male-to-female? Since he is referred to as "he" I feel as im right 8)

Although GC's partner was David Sherlock, the nubile almost naked young lady on the LoB documentary was not him.

I'm presuming that, as the documentary was made and first shown at the time LoB was being shot, showing Graham's genuine homosexual partner would have maybe been a bit shocking to audiences of the late 70s and early 80s.

Maybe he was joking or ironic or something, that there's an almost naked woman in the room

He had openly confessed his homoseksuality in 1974 (remember the anecdote about the letter from someone in the audience who had heard this and sent 25 sheets of prayers) - so this was obviously just a joke to suggest lots of naughty things.

David Sherlock is everything but feminine... He's very masculine and has moustache, as the matter of fact. At least he was very masculine and he wore moustache in the past.
