I haven't conversed with any of the Pythons per se, but have been
fortunate enough to have briefly met Graham in 1987, TerryJ in 1994,
Michael in 1998, and Eric in 2003, at performances or book signings.
Saw John in person in 2003 at a corporate event, but he departed before
I could clobber him -- check that -- I meant, ask for an autograph.
Anyway, all were extremely nice, very tolerant of Python fans
in general (that's extremely difficult, mind you) but with only time for
a quick hello-please-sign-my-book-thank-you-very-much
before moving on to the next in line.

I get the impression it's extremely weird living a life where
literally millions of people think they know you. I say hello,
shake hands, ask for an autograph, say thanks, and that's it.
If they don't have time (Cleese generally has his agent and small
staff/entourage with him), it's wise to be very understanding of that.

Eric was definitely the best as far as signing extras and chatting with
fans briefly, and he seems to love the fame that Python has brought.
Michael and TerryJ were likewise terrific and cordial, but are involved in
many other non-Python pursuits. I was too stunned upon meeting
Graham to remember very much, just a hello really. Still a sad loss, RIP.
