hi all, my first post so hope someone can help. i desperately need this song for a funeral this week, obviously someones dead, i recall hearing it lots of years ago but can't remember the title. the singer is eric and it has the line, MY LITTLE BLACK BOOK, in it. i have trawled the net and came accross this site by way of a link. all the PYTHON addicts (though none as addicted as myself) tried to convince me it was the 'b' side of always look on............
but obviously it isn't, i recall it being on '7' inch vinyl (looks like a big cd but black an' a smaller 'ole in de middle) (for the youngsters reading).
any help whatsoever would of course be greatly appreciated.

yours muchly

So? That sounds like a 45 RPM single? Those have B-sides too. So it could very well be the B-side to that.

i checked the pythonet song archive, and nothing i saw on it seems to be what you're looking for.

however, if you wouldn't mind a subsitute, the song "That's Death" sung by Eric Idle would do in a pinch, i think.

can be found here. scroll down until you see "That's Death." it's in a ZIP file, so you'll need WinZip or something else to extract it. the actual file is an mp3.

Don't think its a Python song.

A friend of mine who knows about these things reckons that Belinda Carlisle did a song with the phrase "little black book" in it.

thanks all, it is definately a python or eric song because the person for whom it is intended was a bar manager and used to play this song on the jukebox in the pub at lunchtime for all the workmen. his family say it was the 'b' side of always........................., i say it was not. i recall eric in a spiv outfit (nothing new there then) but can't remember wether it was python, idle or rutles. thanks for your help anyway.

regards

nicklaus.............
