Sorry to be a bit of a stick in the mud but we can't really advocate downloading stuff as this is a) illegal b) naughty c) could get us in all sorts of trouble.

Obviously we would like to see the John Cleese documentary that preceded the cinematic release but no-one has seen fit to put in on any of th DVD releases yet. :(

yeah, it used to be downloadable from the pythonet.com fansite, but that was in the days before i had a computer to download it onto, and now they have taken down all their videos due to lack of funding. As that was an officially recignoised site by the pythons themselves i assumed they had permision to host it.

He had to take that down because everyone was downloading stuff and it cost a fortune on traffic.

No. Of course half of Cleese's speech and a bit of Eric's is floating on the internet a in low quality file.
But the entire speech, no. I think anyone who claims he saw it is confused with the 1989 documentary featuring these bits.
(That documentary was called "life of python" but has nothing to do with the DVD of the same name. )

By the way, I did send you a pm about where you might still try to find it in a legal way.
