I like the Dennis Moore song:-

"Dennis Moore, Dennis Moore, riding through the night,
Dennis Moore, Dennis Moore, with a bag of things"

......the tune of which was originally the theme to the TV version of Robin Hood. Another Python/Beatles connection (of which of course there are very many,) is the singer of the original was none other than the Fabs' publisher, Dick James.

Oh, and "Sgt. Duckie's Song"!

speaking of monty python connections, i read online one time about how the only breaks pink floyd took during the recording sessions for the dark side of the moon were to go watch episodes of flying circus.

the pythons fave song is actually the galaxy song. which is so inspiring. however i do like christmas in heaven A LOT. cos its sung by graham chapman. and is very upbeat and not actually rude. which means i can play it at christmas, despite muchly protesting from my famille.

I just saw the Dennis Moore sketch for the first time yesterday and LOVED it! It's become one of my all-time favourite sketches. I keep going around the house singing *Dennis Moore, Dennis More, dum dum dum dum dum........*

I loved it when the Python guys did "Sit On My Face" and "The Lumberjack Song" (with Tom Hanks standing in for John Cleese!) on the Concert For George dvd. It's the best! :D

I mean, far out, George was a Beatle AND a Monty Python fan! You can't get any cooler than that, can you??!!

Long live Monty Python AND The Beatles

It is very cool that a bunch of those musicians were monty python fans.
