"Life of Brian" is by far the best of the films ('tis but me humble opinion). Not only in terms of comedy but also in content, depth and even cinematic quality. It's the most cohesive of the films and the one that's more likely to pass the test of time. And it's hard not to remember a film with an ending song like "Always look on the bright side of life", one of the best songs of all time.

But don't get me wrong, I love "Holy Grail". The first time I saw it (having seen LOB first - actually, LOB was my first conscioust contact with Python), I was a bit disappointed, but the more I saw it the more I liked it and now I think it's absolutely great, just not as good as LOB.
"Meaning of Life" is a bit darker, filled with great moments but lacks the wonderful sillyness of "Holy Grail" and the cohesion of "Brian". The film really suffers from the bad moment the Pythons faced as a group back then. But to me, it really gives us the meaning of life, which unlike the fish, isn't that hard to find, right?

By far the best- and most quotable lol! I do like Something Different too, for the sketch comedy thing.

And now for something completely different was the most like the television show and I think that’s why it's my favorite.

monty python and the holy grail is the only one I haven’t seen...
Can you even fathom that? I must be the only one left who hasn’t seen
It. even people who don’t like monty python have seen it!

I think it's The Meaning of Life. It shows the people a bit of disgust (just a little bit ;) ) and the potential of the actors. That's a quite good mixture and I love it

Well certainly The Holy Grail has gotten the votes, but what makes it special than the other Monty Python Films. The best lines? Best complete randomness? Tell me :)

hmmm... i can't decide.... Life of Brian has less funny bits in, but the funny bits are funnier, while The Holy Grail has more funny bits in, but the funny bits aren't as funny......

if life of brian didn't have cleesey shouting all the way through it, i think i'd like it a lot better: I like cleesey so much more when he isn't shouting! just saw a fish called wanda and was like 'omg! he's lovely- he's such a sweetie!' which is something i never thought i'd ever hear myself saying!

hmmm.. dunno - LOB and HG are a tie for me. I love them both the same but in different ways.
