Thank you dennis! and an excuse for what? i'm confused.

anyway i voted yes. But am still unsure if he was laughing or not. because of what i said in the nonsensical post. Shouldn't the real question here be: is eric laughing or not? because only then we will know if it can be considered as a blooper.

I hope you are not still confused by my ramblings. I have been known to accidently contradict myself and i fear this may be another of those instances..... ahh well......

I voted for not a blooper. I think it was more clever than blooperish of him to keep from laughing that way. It would've been a blooper if he hadn't managed to cover it so sucessfully. In my opinion. :)

Yes, that was why I thought the poll question was misleading. I think he hides it, so we can't see it, so it isn't a blooper.

Oh, that's a surprise. I thought the "yes" was ahead last time I checked.

What really does surprise me, apart from this scythe business, is how some people just correct Flying Circus mistakes on www.moviemistakes.com by inventing some reason why it wouldn't be a mistake.
The gas cooker sketch for example has two mistakes and someone simply speculated until everything was explained and then pressed "submit".

For example. In the merchant banker sketch you see a head when the trapdoor opens, now I could explain that by claiming there's someone in there already. But what surprises me is that some people will actually invent explanations for just about any mistake you can spot.

that shouldn't really be that surprising. some people don't want to admit that the people they look up to as heroes/idles/idols () are capable of making mistakes. so they come up with ways to explain it away.

Yeah, but it is fairly stupid - and against the site rules - to just speculate and fantasize everything away.

i've been inspired, and after watching the relevant bit three times straight, i'm casting my vote as no. i still can't see the laughter, even after hearing about it. it seems he keeps a perfectly straight face throughout the important segment.
