The Independent has an article today about the moves to have African Gray parrots put on the CITES list of endangered animals. The headline:

Deceased? Not if scheme to halt trade succeeds

for the online game i play, runescape, there is a reference to python in the latest 'postbag from the hedge' (ie letters from players)

here is a copy paste of it:

dear bob, (of bob's axes)
why can't i just use a herring to chop down a tree?

-signed wildehunter

Dear wildehunter,

It can’t be done... Unless it’s a red one.

Bob (Ni)

hehe. I am happy now I saw that. Us python fans are everywhere, you just have to know where to look!

Here's two from the simpsons:
Lisa: "May I have that seat?" Comic Book Guy: "Yes, if you answer me these questions three."

Nerds: "We know the words to every Monty Python joke ever made." "Ni, ni, ni!" (they laugh)

When my sister and I watched the movie "Calander Girls," we both thought there were some python references in it. We both had flu at the time though, and were fairly feverish, and I can't now remember what the references were, so it could've been all in our minds. If anyone else has seen that movie, what did you think?

In "The Parole Officer" there is a scene in a fish shop with two Steve(s), which refers to the fishy story of "The Meaning of Life" and some other things of life. :(
