On german television there is a commercial for telecommunication-service. The guy is a famous german comedian (Stromberg, for those who know him) and first talks about women. Then he says "knick knack", which is the german translation for "nudge nudge". In the german version of "And now for something completely different" nudge nudge is also knick knack. A very funny tv-spot.

In Official Nintendo Magazine, a preview of The Settlers starts off with a few lines of "What have The Romans done for your DS?"

I believe this was unintended but I was watching Degrassi last night and there was some kind of Christmas talent show going on and the host said "and now for something completely different." It put a smile on my face :) .

Here in Belgium we have a program called
'Everything can improve' and there's a sketch in it with following dialogue:
1st Very tall man: we are the Inspectors who say NI
group; ni ni ...
Victim: You can't say ni! That's from another show (nudge nudge)
2nd Very tall man: He's right, you know...
1st Very tall man: oh, shut up...

It's not very original, but it did make me laugh :)

today in drama we watched monty python and the holy grail!!!

The teacher was very impressed when we got to the witch scene, and she asked "now who knows who that actress is" and im jumping out of my chair going "connie booth!"

I showed her my "pythons autobiography by the pythons" book (mine is the novel version, not the coffee-table-book) which happened to be in my bag, and i think she was rather impressed with that too.

Found a new Python reference in the description for a shirt at Urban Outfitters. The descritption is "'I'm a lumberjack and I'm O.K'. No sweetie; you're Fabulous! Babydoll style tartan jacket with pull cord empire line and button down breast pockets."
