I was just reading about The Rutles! I haven't seen it in a while, but I seriously need to see it again. I'm such a Beatle-geek that all the jokes and hidden bits are absolutely HILARIOUS! Neil Innes and Eric are fantastic in it! Neil's witty in the music department and of course Eric is a genius when it comes to the screenwriting! Good god I must see it again!

it is sooo funny when you know about all these details of the beatles story, like when mike palin is speaking and everyone steals the company's goods in the back ground

I´ve found it accidentaly by surfing through the net... I thought "Wow... the Rutles... let´s see... It´s a satire, what i absolutely love, about the Beatles, which i couldn´t live without, and it´s by and with Eric Idle, who i like the most of MP... I SURELY MUST HAVE THIS DVD" ^^
I´ve bought it without know anything of the movie, and i looked it... and loved it ^^. Every time i see it now i love it more, this is incredible. It´s so... Funny. And quite interesting for Beatles-Fans (Also for Non-Beatles-Fans, but that isn´t my topic ^^)

I just lay on the ground by Erics try to speak german ^^. It´s Hilarious...

It's my favorite Eric post-Python movie :D:D I also bought it without knowing anything and I LOVED it. Any other Beatles parody would have been rubbish, but this one is absolutely great for the jokes, the story, the songs, people that appear in it..... The only pity is that the dvd here doesn't have any extra stuff (like any other Python dvd), it's just the movie

And something really funny happened to me. A few monts ago I downloaded a Beatles' docummentary called "The Beatles Anthology". It has 8 episodes of about 80 minutes each (so it's nearly 12 hours of Beatles!!), and it's great because it's not the typical reader talking about them. It was done before George died, and he, Paul and Ringo explains all what they remember of those years, since they started and went to Germany until the group broke up, with lots of videos and music. It has also cuts of John's appearences in TV or radio shows after they broke talking about the Beatles too. Get it if you can, it's pretty good. Well, I remember being watching it and thinking "Mmm, I think I've seen that scene before, but where???". And guess: it was in the Rutles

i´ve also an Documentary of the Beatles at DVD. It´s called "A Long and Winding Road" and it´s very interesting too.

When i first heard of the Rutles i was on the Beginning of my Beatles-Fan career... i think the DVD gave me the last shove ^^

When I found it I had many years of Beatles' fanmania and a few Python's, so it was like a dream becoming true :D:D

Actually, the Rutles was made in '78 or '79, and Meaning of Life was made in '82, so Eric wasn't totally done yet with Python...
