Hello, looneys! :D
Which books would you recommend me for getting to know better the Pythons?. I would like some from them individually and also as a group.
I've seen the MP Autobiography book has very good reviews on amazon, would you say it's a must?
Also, I've read about those tapes that inspired the book, the ones with the interviews, and thought that it's a bit unlikely that John was really eating while he was being interviewed, I read that on some reviews.
So, what would you advise mw to buy knowing I have no books on the Pythons?
And which tapes?

Thanks.

Thanks, then I'll do...but is it very private or more of a professional life account?
Graham is one of my favourites.

It's very private I think, things that you don't know about him from random trivias, only few Python, more private, there are even some exclusive trivias from john ;)

There are quite a few books about, or by, Graham. There's "A Liars Autobiography," "Calcium Made Interesting," which is a collection of his essays, letters, sketches, etc , and "The Authorized Biography of Graham Chapman."

There's "Greedy Bastard Diaries," which i haven't read but apprently it has some info about Eric in there because my friend tells me all this random stuff she gets from the book lol, and "Michael Palin's Diaries- The Python Years."

And if you want to know the behind the scenes stuff about Python and also osome general information about the group and each member then you should probably get the "Python's Autobiography." But be forwarned, the hardback is HUGE and really heavey lol.

Oh and by the way I love that picture of John in your sig :) .

Thanks a lot for your answers. I ordered Graham's autobiography and the Pythons' autobiography yesterday. I hope to get them soon. Can't wait! :D

I think I will wait til Christmas to get Micahel's diaries, maybe as an audio book, he has such a great voice it would be lovely to hear him marrate his experiences with the Pythons.

Sir Michael, may I say you have a great cool site there? :) What a neat collection. :D

And Nigel, thanks, I also love your avatar. John is just so adorable at that point of his life.

Thank you. As mentioned, it is The Largest
Monty Python Collection in the Entire World.
(Well, the largest documented collection, at least).

Proof that Monty Python are taking over, one continent at a time.

Woho! You're going to London. Have a great time there. I can't tell any name of a bookstore, but there are plenty of them. Have a great time :D
