That was on the Beeb last year. It was actually really interesting - did you know that there are some cultures that actually have no concept of numbers.

That was certainly...interesting. I never thought I'd ever be interested in seeing the history behind the numbers 1 and 0 :shock: , but it was good. Thanks for posting :) .

yeah, i must confess i only watched it because it was presented by a python :wink:
i never thought it would be possible to do a documentary about the '1'.
Terry, tell us where the '@' comes from.

at least there was humour in it, but i think they were overdoing the computeranimated-1-thing...

i seen it! last year. as CF said.

sadly though, my camel is now deceased, due to a high speed collision with a motorway sign on the m56.
