Hm, how can you pick one? Just to illustrate an example. I can see that you think Palin interprets characters greatly and lives the character, but how about Cleese or Chapman and their lunatics? I think they're quite into it too. It's very hard to pick one. I'm not able to pick one at the moment. That said, I'm not the most 'experienced' Python fan either.

i think mike interprets a greater variety of characters with more skill than the other pythons.

granted, some do specific types of characters better (i.e. your example), but overall i believe mike does the better job.

OK, you might have a point regarding the variety.

I think mostly Mike and John then Terry J. with Eric and Graham and then Terry G.

They all had their different things that they were good at.

Mike was good at the cheeky characters, cheesey gameshow host types.
John was good at playing character who get really angry and shout a lot.
Terry J. was the best at playing a woman.
Graham was goot at playing characters who were somewhat distinguished.
Eric was also good at playing cheeky characters, usually with a slightly annoying accent...and he's the best singer/songwriter of the group.

But I guess Mike was the best character actor of the group and yet I still think the best actor over all was Graham.

I want to say something in favour of Terry G., because he played the majority of the characters others wouldn't. Also, if we look at it another way, he drew all the cartoon characters! So he 'created' the most characters. Am I right or am I right?:)

Terry G seemed to play freaks and grotesques - and very camp people in tiny shorts.
