I'd like to know where the fairy tale at the begining John Cleese's personal best came from. It's not from the TV series, and they look pretty young.

Well, he is in the black and white video that John's character shows to Michael's character.

Ah, I guess that's it. I only have the one German episode that's in the 16 ton megaset, and I didn't know they did one in English.

maybe they didn't want to go through the same thing a second time (learning all those lines phonetically). but it's soo funny being a german and listen to this
i saw the first episode about 1990, but i can't remember if they also aired the 2nd one (so i don't know if the 2nd was dubbed or just subtitled)

John Cleese says in the Autobiography, that the german producers of the german show didn´t wanted them to speak german in the second german show, because Graham, Terry and Eric have accents and the germans wouldn´t understand them. The guys were really annoyed, because they wanted to speak german in the second show.

Yeah, I totally do. Their accents aren´t really that bad to understand for germans. I don´t know how other germans do feel about it, but I understand every word they´re saying. To be honest I really love Terry Jones´s welsh accent and of course Ewics thick accent.

Yeah, they could. But the producers said no. And the Pythons were really pissed off!

John said that Michael and himself were the best at pronouncing German, but the others had very storng accents, but you're a German and you like their accents, so I don't really see why the producers took that decision.
If people like something leave it that way :D
