Got this e-mail today:

Quote:
Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition…

…and nobody expected us to get in touch so soon with the coveted date you have all been waiting for – the 2007 Monty Python Day! Yes, Historic Scotland is extremely pleased let you (the very select few) know the official date before anyone else in the whole wide world! We invite you to join us on Sunday 9 September 2007 at Camelot – no let’s not go to Camelot, it’s a silly place – where else but the magnificent Doune Castle for an experience not to be missed by any Monty Python fan.

You think you know what will happen on the day? Well think again, as we may just have a few surprises up our sleeves. Of course, your favourite bits will remain, so don’t put those coconuts to the back of the cupboard just yet. We’re keeping in everything you voted for as it is as much your day as it is ours.

New for 2007 is the Monty Python Day Hall of Fame which will be on show at the event. If you would like to feature in this, please send your images of previous Monty Python Day events to me along with a bit of explanatory text (e.g. names of those in the picture, characters they are dressed up as, where they are from etc). If your images are of children (aged under 18 yrs) please let me know and I will send you a very important form to complete.

I’ll be in touch soon with details on how you can get your hands on a ticket to this exciting event. Tickets go on sale the day after April Fools Day (Monday 2 April)…and dare I say it, but you’d be a fool not to get one!

Attached is a brilliant article that was in The Guardian after last year’s successful day at Doune Castle, I hope you like it, gosh you may actually feature in it!

<<Monty Python Guardian article 300906.pdf>>

Your support is greatly appreciated and we hope to see you at Doune Castle on 9 September 2007 for another Pythonfest like no other. Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time…

MONTY PYTHON DAY

SUNDAY 9 SEPTEMBER 2007

DOUNE CASTLE

BTW, if you want the Guardian article, PM me and I'll send you a copy.

Sunninghill! I've got some personal reasons to go there:) but it's too distant future now for me to make specific plans... the general one is to settle down in the UK. for good I hope...
