I mean, having the soundtrack is nice and all, But I want to see the show! (And in HQ for god sake)

Does anyone knows if it will ever come out on DVD?

Thanks,
Tom

I doubt it. But there has been some talk of making a movie of Spamalot (that is, not just a filmed version of the play.)

I wouldn't like that to happen, because then Spamalot will become a 'Holy Grail' substitute.

I think that would be a great idea! The movie, I mean. They all had fabulous chemistry on stage...on film, they would be even better! :D

I dont't believe I want to see other actors than the usual six (or five now) playing their characters on film. In a musical it's different and so it's good but on film it wouldn't be but well, that's my opinion anyway.

It wouldn't really be the same story...actually, it isn't at all. There are different parts. Or, they could just video tape the play! That wouldn't be too bad of an idea...

i agree that although it is excellent as a musical, making a movie version could never match up to the original Holy Grail, so why bother? However, just filming the stage version would be okay. Don't think i'd buy it though.

I'd expect they'd perhaps film one of the performances rather than do something like what happened with 'The Producers' if they were to release it on DVD. I wouldn't mind a filmed version with the original Broadway cast with Tim Curry and such.

In my opinion, either is a possibility considering Eric's views on money.

If there's to be a dvd, I agree that it should be the onstage show.
Another film is like the remake of "Hairspray". Why?

Hm... I really don't know which I'd rather have. A DVD of the play, or a film version... I think I'd prefer both!

There are a few bootlegs from people who took a camera to the theatre.
