Any particular kind of hat, sir? Or just hats in general? I might be able to make an effort in the raising of the hat usage level. However, it is dependent on which type of hat that counts. A "magician" hat? A sombrero? A cap? Does a cap count as a hat, or is it too common already; implying it doesn't have the same quality as other hats? An "own-creation" hat? I suppose such a hat would work, as it also involves some innovation. Is it a hat as long as it is my intention and I treat it as a hat? I got a cup of coffee around at the moment - would it qualify as a hat if I treat it as one? Tough, but by no means strictly impossible. In addition - wishful thinking maybe, but - if I end up not using any hat at all, for some reason, would I get away with it by mentioning hat as often as humanly possible in everyday life? As a closure, let me ask; people that have animals, should they let the animal wear the hat, or should the human them selves wear the hat? Not that I have an animal, but there surely are other people. I take it for granted that wearing a hat is a 'good', hence; why should not the animal wear it? The best would be for both to wear it, naturally, but I now speak of situations where the household got access to one hat only. There might be some work-arounds, where you co-operate intensely with the animal, yet it will require quite an effort. That said, if you really are a hat man, you know you would try. The more hat users, the better, of course, although you may face an obstacle or six in your "race" for the hat. Do not underestimate the spirit of hats. Hats off (well, on, really, but you get the idea).

So maybe I should get a new, real, more "serious" looking hat then, to contrast the odd sombrero one I already have.
