I know it is a team effort but my number two choice would have to be Terry Jones in drag reprising this role in Grail "lovely filth down 'ere!" and in Brian, "He is not the Messiah.he's a very naughty boy!"

"Yes I agree! Mr. Cleese is entering into the twilight.Almost pathetic really. The old ZIP replaced by silliness."

It's a tie between Dennis the repressed peasant (Holy Grail) and the ex-leper (Life of Brian), with an honorable mention for Prince Herbert and a non-Python character, the "I'm Not Dead Yet" old man, both in Holy Grail.

If you don't mind my saying so, you're badly in need of an expensive course of psychiatric treatment.

I just recently saw "Meaning of Life" for the first time. Mr. Creosote is really hilarious. I have to say that as much as I appreciated "Crimson Permanent Assurance" for Gilliam's creativity and special effects, it seemed to be out of place and generally a distraction from the rest of the film. The Grim Reaper scene was excellent. Stay away from canned salmon! Also, I loved the musical number "Every Sperm is Sacred." Palin can really sing; Terry Jones, too. And once again, Terry Jones is the best middle-aged woman of all the Pythons, every time.

Rodger the shrubber!!

"oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say 'Ni' at will to old ladies..."
"I am a shrubber. My name is Rodger the shrubber. I arrange, design and sell shrubberies."

Oh! and Dingo..

"do you think this scene should have been cut? We were so worried when the boys were writing it but now we're glad."
