I love this sketch!
When I first saw, I just screamed I had to laugh so much :D
We did it with a classmate of mine on sports lesson, everybody was staring so weird, but they've found it funny too :D

I love this sketch too! I always laugh so loudly  !!! I've tried to do silly walks but it wasn't funny at all. i always admire John for this walk, he's (or was) very flexible indeed (i like this word 'indeed', I don't know why, don't ask me, indeed  )

it's great..
I love the walk, but the thing I like most is the whole idea of a Minister of Silly Walks...
I'd love to work there!!!

Pakistani border guards wins silly walk compo.

I was watching a documentary about the 60th anniversary of the partition between India and Pakistan and there was a closing the border ceremony (which they do to crowd each day) where the guards on both sides do what can only be described as a supremely silly walk with very exagerated steps and turns slamming their feet down in an attempt to out-do the other guards.

Maybe it's what inspired John Cleese all those years ago.

Did andyone else see it ? I think the programme was 'Sanjeev Bhaskar's India' documentary on BBC 2 where he visits his father village and travels around India.

Same here Muppet! I just tried it, and I really hurt my leg. Ow man! John Cleese must have gotten very used to pain in Flying Circus and Fawlty Towers though.

I wonder if John Cleese had to rest after doing that sketch? He has such a painful walk.
Remember that one time in Fawlty Towers where he raised his foot ABOVE the height of his head while doing a Hitler impersonation for the Germans?
