Cleese, Chapman, and Idle star in this unjustly neglected gem, and the whole gloriously silly affair is profoundly Pythonesque. Reviews at Amazon suggest a groundswell of demand for a DVD release. Can anyone get to the Powers That Be to communicate and encourage this?

I downloaded it a few months ago. It really is a jem. Marty Feldman's HILARIOUS :)

Betty: The fruit of your loins, sugar drawers.
Yellowbeard: Are you mad, woman? I haven't got fruit in my loins! Lice, yes, and proud of 'em!

Apologies for dragging up an old thread, but I felt it appropriate to tack this on the end of this thread...

I'll second all the good comments made about Yellowbeard.
My memory of that film is that I watched it on a cross-channel (or cross-North Sea) ferry.

I've also seen it on the normal TV channels a time or three. (Three? Rather a lot, really  )

As I remember, when I saw it on the ferry, there was a short film just before it about "accountansea." (sic)
That film has escaped me ever since, and it's REALLY funny, with filing cabinet drawers being fired from the gun-ports on an old "pirate" type sailing ship.

I have the song that went with it, but can anyone please help me with the title of the film :?:

Full speed ahead, Mr Cohen :!:

That film that you mention is at the begining of Meaning of Life, so it hasn't really escaped you :)

Well, thanks for such a speedy response mrgumby4200 :D

 I nearly had to sentence myself to be hanged by the neck until I cheered up, but you've saved me from that. :D

The Meaning of Life is now on order, so I'll get to see it after all these years :D

:D Cheers for that :D
