Spam will not give you crabs. It will, however, accuse you having sex with it on national television. You will sue for slander and win, but Spam will have it's revenge at a later date. Lock all of your doors and windows.

yeah it is annoying.

there should be a security measure on the registering page. Well i know you have to type in some letters, but do new members receive a link through an email to activate their accounts? it's been so long ago since i joined i can't remember.

if no email link activation is required here then that's the reason why there are so many spammers. it should be easy to fix by going to the General Configuration in the admin control panel, and changing the None to User in the "Enable account activation" box. this is a standard phpbb board so the option should be there.

who has access to the "General Configuration" in the admin control panel? that should be main admin which is above moderator. it should be able to be halted from ever happening again from there at a click of the option. as you can tell it's slightly bugging me moreso now

*edit* does anyone happen to know a way for a mod to delete these topics without having to open them??
