I know the Pythons made very little for their early television efforts,
but imagine if nobody had ever paid them a shilling before 1969.

Graham would be a doctor, probably wind up dying of alcoholism.
Terry Gilliam would be unknown - no Brazil, no Baron Munchausen.
John would be a bean-counter somewhere, never having walked silly.
Eric, sitting around solving crosswords instead of speaking in anagrams,
Terry Jones teaching history instead of dressing up as a pepperpot,
and Michael Palin would never have sung the Lumberjack song.

There would be no Monty Python, none at all. No 45 classic episodes,
no German shows. No Colonel, no Spam song, no Gumbies, no
ladies institute applause, no semprini, no Hungarian phrasebooks,
no jokes about larch trees, no Johann Gambolputty, no blancmanges.

No records. No audiocassettes.

No books, no presskits, no cinema posters.

No farewell tours, no Greedy Bastard, no F--- Christmas.

No Monty Python films, no Fawlty Towers, no Fish Called Wanda,
and therefore no videocassettes, no DVDs, and no Blu-Ray.

No Spamalot. All of these would be missing entirely.

So, think it over, the next time you ask for a free download.

Monty Python can save the world.

Yes but is it robbing future generations of classics?
