Wow! I must say it is good to see that some people refuse to automatically accept the quality of famous art, but ironically this here has been swung to the degree where they are automatically ignorant of its value. I was half thinking this was satire or that it was going to have a puchline, e.g. "Oh wait, I'm thinking of 'Little Brittain'. Sorry." Unfortunately I don't have the time to nit-pick every misinterpretation, inaccuracy and unjustified agression in this article, as I am a “lank-haired…young man reading for a higher degree”, but I have a couple of things to say. I find it disgusting that someone, especially, one whom moans on about creativity and mature wit, resorts to childish insults in his over-generalisation and grossly naïve perception of what the Python performances were. Obviously when he says “…the Pythons never made you think…” he is deceived by the subtlety so much that he fails to think when made to. And another thing – ‘Montypythonoides riversleighensis’ is a taxonomic synonym that has therefore been declared void, as the species fell under an already existing classification!

"the exclusively-male cult of Python-worship..."
That's complete rubbish (just like most of the article). There are plenty of females who enjoy python, as can be seen by the number of female participants on this forum!

Grrrr.
The author of that didn't even justify most of what he said.

That would owe to his being a nob.

I have read this article. What the sh*t.
Btw, I`ve noticed that Daily Mail doesn`t like Monty Python. Too much outrageous lie they write about our fellows.

I was flabbergasted! Every single claim that guy made conflicted dramatically with my own personal experience.

I suspect just him. But then again he writes for the Daily Hate (sorry, Daily Mail) so not many UK people really surprised.

Yes I think most people are likely to be nobs in one way or another. I'd like to think that I'm one of the decent sorts of nobs.
