As a Knight of the Round Table of Camelot, and appointed by King Arthur as
the Owner of the Largest Monty Python Collection in the Entire World,
my traditional anniversary thread begins thus:

Today, 5th October 2008, marks the 39th anniversary
of the first broadcast of Monty Python's Flying Circus on the BBC.

Thank you Graham, John, Eric, TerryG, TerryJ, and Michael
for making it all worthwhile. Never in the course of human events
have so many laughed so hard at so little written by so few.

My DVD player is ready for an exhausting weekend marathon.

Happy anniversary everyone. Monty Python can save the world.

(Can't wait for next year, eh? Should be a good one... and yes, I'm back).
