struggling through with my limited French vocabulary, only to have the shop assistant speak back at me in English with an American accent. :?

That was obscure.

I heard that frenchman don't like English, they only like if you speak french

I think that the French generally don't like learning foreign languages, and that they aren't very good at it. Not all of them, naturally, but most of the French I spoke to couldn't be understood because of their strong accent. *watches out for an angry Frenchman appearing*

I study the languages, the religions, the history, the philosophy, the literature, etc etc of these countries, and I keep studying Italian language and literature, so teorically, one day,(I hope not to far) I would be (maybe possibly) able to translate novels, and specific essays etc etc

my rommie is desperately trying to teach me hebrew, but I am hopeless :?

I'd like to study history myself, but not here in Belgium

nope, Jonesy studied only history, and now he's a graduated archeologist, like Michael
I want to be an archeologist to, to be specific a world-war archeologist

Actually, I'm a graduate archaeologist...!

I, like our dear Gilliam, am studying Political Science. I LOVE politics and everything about them. Which is weird, I know.
