...Witchitaw!.....with the sound of the word "Witchitaw!" leaving his lips the entire coloseum went dead silent. Scipio suddenly felt the weight of every attendant, every gladiator, every lion, and every silly person named Brian apon him. What had he said? What sort of faux paw could have escaped his lips to cause such a reaction? Mortified he looked meekly around at the various eyes glaring at him. "Ehem!...Um, was it something I said?" he murmured......

A gladiator then spoke. "Nero will crucify anyone who says that word!" Scipio gulped.
"You see, the king of you-know-where criticized his lyre playing. So Nero had him killed and burned the entire city. Now, anyone who says that word will die. The only way to avoid death is by...

...uttering successively the word "hedgehog" the correct number of times, where the correct number is between 0 and 37438 (maximum 18333 attempts). Ensure that no actual hedgehog is visible from the uttering area during the answering process, since that implies invalidation of potentially correct answers. There have been rumours that mediocre lyre playing renders hedgehogs in a state which cause them to, somewhat incomprehensibly, suggest the answer, but sound interpretation of which involves strict concentration. There is a crucial aspect of this rumour one cannot...
