<br />Do you think that translating Monty Python into other languages makes any sense? does this kind of humour break all boundaries (for example generation gap and all this staff)? Is it universal?

Anyways, I think it would be kind of neat to translate Monty Python into different languages because that way, all Python fans around the world have Python stuff in their native tongue. This kind of humoour, to me, does break all boundries because my dad grew up watching Monty Python stuff with his siblings, and he would let my brother and I watch Monty Python too, and now my brother and I are Monty Python fans (I got my brother "The Meaning of Life" on DVD for Christmas this year). And yes, it is universal!

I agree. John Cleese's Russian cracks me up in "A Fish Called Wanda".[:D] But back to the original question posed in the topic of the thread... My main reasons are it's spontaneous nonsensical humor and MICHAEL PALIN...[:p]

I think that translating Monty Python is a very good solution... Believe me or not, but in Polnd Monty Python is very popular and the translation by Tomek Beksinski is very good. Anyway the translator commited suicide a few years ago...

Location: Physically? Australia. In my head? The Land of All Things Python. Lovely!
I love the fact that you can watch the shows and movies over and over and over and still laugh and laugh. You can't say that for a lot of comedy shows these days. And let's face it-most of the shows around today have nicked something from Python somewhere along the line[:)]

"Let me come with you Ponthiath! I may be of thom athithtanth if there ith a thudden crithith!!!"
