I am directing a stage version of Life of Brian which will be performed in October at yarrawonga, Australia.
I have been unable to find if there have been any other stage versions using the entire script and all characters.
Does anyone know iof other stage versions of the show, regards, Wal

Australia's a bit of a trek for me to see a play, but good luck anyway.

Are you adapting the screenplay or what?

P.S. Not to be picky or anything, but I aught to remind you if you haven't done so already, to contact the Python office and get permission to use the LOB plot as its copyrighted. Address on my website.

The Life of Brian stage show is on Friday and Saturday nights October 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23. It is a cabaret show, BYO tables of 10, entry fee $20.
I wrote to Michael Palin for info and his management group put me onto Monty Python Pictures who gave permission to adapt screenplay.
Tickets will go on sale around four weeks prior to opening night but I will alert readers of this site a week prior to give you first shot.
The feedback from around the state has been amzing and I'm sure it will be a sell-out.
We have had a few letters from the Christian folk basically saying we will burn in hell but I'm confident the great one has a sense of humor.
One other thing, anyone who knows where I can find sheet music to title song Brian, not Bright Side of Life, please let me know, Wal.

Due to the language and nudity (yes, Brian will reveal all to the multitude and so will Judith) it is over 18 or accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Does it have to be a parent or guardian or just an 18 year old?

God, you sound keen. If you wish to come an 'adult' will probably be okay but if you are 15 or under you better say you know the director, that's me, Wal.

You will be able to reserve tickets. I will announce how and when sometime in September. I will also contact you regarding having a go on stage in the final scene if you like.
The opening night will be huge with camels, fire breathers etc adding to the atmosphere.

Just a thought - there's a comedy troupe in the US called "Lester McFwap" who do a lot of Python and Python inspired stuff, mainly sketches. Maybe they've got some stuff you could use.
